Welcome
Power Play Electrical is a one-person, licensed sparky servicing Sydney Metro. The whole site is built around one idea: you should be able to see what electrical work costs, book a time that suits you, and get the job done properly — without a week of phone tag. Prices are honest, the quoting tool works, and if you get stuck, the number's at the top of every page.

Pick a system size. Add a battery if you want. See the real price — net of the federal STC rebate, which I claim on your behalf as an SAA-accredited installer. No middleman, no dodgy panels.
Prices include STC rebate for Sydney (Zone 3) at the current market rate. Rebate amount is confirmed at install. System estimates are based on Sydney averages — real output varies with roof orientation and shading.

About
I started Power Play because I got sick of seeing customers burned by shortcuts — dodgy boards, missing safety switches, "quotes" that doubled on the day.
I've been inside hundreds of Sydney homes. I know what's safe, what's dangerous, and what most homeowners don't know they don't know. Every job I quote online, I quote honestly. Every job I do, I sign off properly. The person you speak to is the person who does the work.
Reviews
New website, not a new sparky — I've been on the tools for years. I'd rather show you zero fake testimonials than a wall of made-up ones. Real Google reviews land here as they come in.
If I've done work for you, leave a quick one here — takes 30 seconds and helps other Sydney homeowners find an honest sparky.
FAQ
Electrical
You answer a few questions about the job. The system gives you an estimate on the spot. The price holds based on the info you give me. If the site reveals additional work once I'm there (old wiring, hidden damage, access issues), I confirm the change in writing before starting. You're never caught off guard, and you never commit to a number I can't hold.
Yes. NSW Electrical Contractor Licence 485016C. Fully insured, including public liability. Every notifiable job gets a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work (CCEW) — that's your proof the work was done to AS/NZS 3000.
24/7 across Sydney Metro. Power off, burning smell, sparks, exposed wiring — call 0466 798 672. After-hours surcharge is shown up front in the online quote.
Card (tap or Stripe link), bank transfer, or EFTPOS on the day. Payment terms are invoiced per job — small jobs on completion, larger jobs with a deposit at booking and balance on sign-off.
All of Sydney Metro. Most common catchments: Penrith, Parramatta, Blacktown, Liverpool, Chatswood, Hornsby, Ryde, Bondi, North Sydney, Manly. Further out? Ring and ask.
Solar
The federal Small-scale Technology Certificate (STC) rebate is a government incentive for rooftop solar. Only SAA-accredited installers (like me) can claim it on your behalf. The price you see on this site is already net of the rebate — you don't lodge anything, you don't wait for a cheque. The rebate amount depends on system size, your postcode zone, and the current STC market price, which I update quarterly.
If my on-site assessment flags the roof isn't ready — cracked tiles, dodgy flashing, structural issue — we pause and you fix the roof (or I refer you to someone who can). No point installing panels on a roof that's going to leak in two winters.
Honest answer: it depends. For most Sydney homes with daytime occupancy and moderate evening use, a 10kWh battery pays back in 6–9 years at current grid prices. If you're rarely home during the day and feed a lot back to the grid for a low FiT, it shortens. If you're home all day and barely feed back, batteries make more sense. Build the quote and I'll walk you through your numbers specifically.
Tier-1 panels only — Jinko Tiger Neo and REC Alpha Pure as standard. Inverters: Fronius, SolarEdge, and Sungrow. Batteries: Tesla Powerwall 3 and Sungrow SBR. No-name gear is how customers end up with vanishing warranties and replacement bills — I don't touch it.
Manufacturer warranty on panels (typically 25 years performance), inverter (10 years), battery (10 years). Workmanship warranty from me: 5 years. If something goes wrong, I'm the one who comes back.
